You have a choice what you copy when you use the imaging software: 1. You can copy your system partition. Its size will depend on how many programs you have installed - 4GB probably will not suffice, take a look at the size of your C:\WINDOWS folder (usually just under 4GB) AND your C:\Program Files folder (could be up to say 3GB) to get a rough guide. 2. You can copy your own data files, whose size obviously depends on how much you have stored. 3. You can copy everything, which in your case is about 10 GB. 4. Depending on the software you use you can usually be more selective than the above options. So the answer depends on what you are seeking to achieve with your backups. If you want simply to get the whole PC back to a previous state then you need option 3. BTW making backups to a flash drive isn't the best idea - they are not terribly reliable devices and you can imagine the frustration of needing to get to a backup, and having one, only to find it is "inaccessible" ! Probably the simplest relaible option is to get a USB HDD, they are getting cheaper by the day.
