I may have been a little over zealous also. So many just use this site as a place
to bash MS. The issue is that in order to permit the old tools, either software or
hardware, you must make allowances in the new. Doing this opens doors to invasions
and corruption. The more you complicate things the more it is likely to fail. At
some point MS or anyone must say enough is enough. And when you look at the types
of common complaints it is all to frequent that people want a 62 ford to act and
run like a 2010. Of course there will be those who restore and keep the old around
as a hobby, but never as a practical tool. And even when it comes to more modern
things, I liked MS "Live Onecare". I am sad it is gone, but it is time to move on.
