I have a Compaq Presario C700 notebook that I previously able to connect to the internet
via wireless router (D-Link) interlink to the Motorola wireless modem. **The cable
connection is as follows: 1 LAN cable used to connect one end to one of the LAN port
of the router and the other end to the ethernet port of the modem. However, the wireless
connection which I described can no longer able to connect to the internet.
Alternatively, I've used a manual connection (**2 LAN cable used: 1) One LAN cable
connect to the ethernet port of the wireless router and the other end to the ethernet
port of the modem, 2) Second LAN cable connect one end to one of the LAN port of
the wireless router and the other end to the ethernet port of the Compaq Presario
C700 notebook which is currently running on Windows Vista Home Basic Operating System.
I've downloaded the latest service pack 2 (via the manual broadband connection).
After system reboot, my system prompted WiFimsg.exe - Bad image which causes the
wlanutil.dll not functioning.
Could this be possibly due to a hardware issue of my notebook or can i resolve this
by installing another OS, like Windows XP, to rectify this problem.
Can u help me on this problem, it's been dragging for almost 2 months already.
