Yes there have been a few discussions about the service packs for Vista as Dorset
man has said.

I've only had my Vista laptop of about 4 months and I was talking about service packs
with the guys at work. There your saying SP1 works ok but SP2 can remove your wireless
or LAN connection.

I downloaded SP1 and SP2. I installed SP1 and the normal few restarts. I tried everything
out and it all worked as it should do. I installed SP2 and again the few restarts
and everything still worked as it should do.

So I'm afraid I have no complaints about them.

To uninstall the service packs isn't a straight forward task. With WinXP the SP3
update is listed in Add/Remove. With Vista its not listed in either section.

Microsoft give you detailed instructions on how to uninstall SP1 and SP2, search
Microsoft.
