Ed thank you for your McAfee Stinger info. I read it with great interest. Back
in March 31/09 I used free Trend Micro for my virus scans. I had I believe it was,
six infections of Malware at the time. With the usual help of Annoyances.orgI discovered
that my malware were trapped in the CPY files.
As you probably know these files are created by the WinMe system restore function.
Story short, Stinger tell me to dothe same task, and that is to disable system restore.
Back in March 09, I did just that with annoyances help and ran another scan with
disabled system restore file. My scan came back that my computer was clean. I then
went back and enabled my system restore and everyone here was happy. So unless I
missed something here, Stinger functions the same way as the task I did back then.
Currently "I believe" only one infection remains in my PC. No big deal, so Ed
I will keep this email from you and if I need it later, I sure will use it. You guys
are great.
