Need Free Virus Scan Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 6:13 am Windows Me Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by elmoticky (134 messages posted) Not very long ago I used Trend Micro 6.5 to run free virus scans on my WinMe computer. I can no longer use 6.5 as the newer version won`t permit me. I have tried to find any other free virus scan offers and have yet to find one that I can use. I switched from IE browser to others since then and have not installed new virus protections, but relied on Trend Micro for my virus scans. Until now I have not had virus infection problems, as far as my computer`s perfomance. Other than slowness, I have not had a virus scan in some time. I need to find a reliable tool that I can use to run a scan -- for free, as I am penniless, well O.K. I am not prepared to pay for something that is not an emergency. I just need to find such tool just in case, and run it to a test.
