LPT1 conflict Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 1:20 am Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Anders (2 messages posted) Dear All. I have a funny issue and I don't know how to solve it. I have some DOS applications written long time ago. These applications are using LPT1 connected to some hardware. These old DOS applications works just fine. One of these applications is called "Bat test" and is used for testing talk time in dect phones. The problem is that there is a pop up window coming every 60s that says "These 2 programs are trying to use LPT1 at the same time but only one program at the time can use LPT1", and then I am asked to choose between WINDOWS or BAT TEST. This mean that Windows for some reason (every 60s) is trying to use LPT1, which is already in use by BAT TEST. How can I prevent Windows from using LPT1 when it is already in use? I have checked all the normal stuff and I have no obvious conflicts. Thanks!
