There is hardware, and software. The hardware is the TV Wonder USB, a little device/box about the size of a regular iPod that attaches to the computer via USB and to the TV or VCR. That is fine. You can see a picture of it at http://images.pcworld.com/news/graphics/38222-n_011101_ati.jpg The software that operates it on your computer, called something like Multimedia 10, is what's crashing and causing the blue screen errors (at least I think, since that is usually what I'm running). I am able to get the pc to reboot in normal mode, but using the ATI software still crashes it. I uninstalled it, so I am going to run a few other ideas and then reinstall it to see if I can get it working. Otherwise, will assume it's some sort of Windows or hard drive problem and take it in on Monday to the shop.
