Advanced search tips can be found using this method:

Click the Start button and select "Help and Support". Be sure to set your option for online help (at bottom of screen). In the search box type "advanced search tips" (without the quotes) and press enter. Choose option "Advanced tips for searching in Windows" (option #1 in my system). You can print it out for a ready reference.
