Well this did not do the trick unfortunately. I shut my laptop down for a while
then turned it on later, left it alone for a few minutes to run an errand and came
back home to find that Aero shut off again as well as the monitor (even though i've
set the power options to 12 hours until display is turned off and sleep).
The laptop seems fine so long as I'm constantly using it; else it wants to go
into power save mode after a few minutes regardless of my power settings. This is
becoming very frustrating now :/
