Yes I have. I've made sure that Turn off Monitor and Sleep is set to Never when
the laptop is plugged in to AC power.
Upon a bit more research I've learned that Vista had a problem with both these
options set to Never and it tends to ignore the plan setting in that case and it
enables Turn off Monitor anyway.
Maybe the Vista bug is a carry over to Windows 7, but I've dug around in the advanced
power options to set these two options to 720 mins instead of never. So it appears
to be a non-issue now (chances of me not touching my laptop in 12 hours while it
is on are slim, so it achieves the same effect for me as setting them to never lol)
