Search for it in Microsoft Support: Microsoft: INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE How to troubleshoot "Stop 0x0000007B" error messages in Windows 2000 I loaded another copy of Win2K into a folder (not partition) which I named WIN2K, leaving WINNT intact. I could boot to either. I had to find all my installation discs and reinstall (almost) all my devices. Since it was a tenacious virus which could escape detection I went back and forth between the 2 systems shooting down the virus until I got it all.
