This is how you do it in XP, so I assume it is the same in 2k. Usually it is advisable to back up the original first. The other way is to edit C:\boot.ini and find the line multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" /fastdetect and add /kernel=bootscreenfilenamehere.exe to the end of that line.
